Confirmation is offered as a three-year program, beginning when students reach the 7th grade.

The Confirmation class will focus on Luther’s Small Catechism this year: The Lord’s Prayer, Ten Commandments, Apostles’ Creed, and the Sacraments—Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. A highlight this year will be the Seder just before Easter, when the class invites the congregation to actively participate in learning about this holy meal, and its relationship to our Holy Communion. The students and their mentors will be actively involved in service projects and worship.

We invite you to strike up conversations with these exceptional young people and encourage them on their faith journeys.

Once Begun is Halfway Done!

Students in grades 7 to 9 can participate in the Confirmation instruction, which is held Sunday afternoons from 12:15 – 1:15 in the tower’s “Upper Room”. The 9th graders also meet with Pastor one Saturday a month until they affirm their baptism on Pentecost Sunday.

A retreat is held for the group at least once a year. Students have many opportunities to get involved in mission projects, both individually and as part of the group. Mentors from the congregation actively support and pray with the kids on this journey.
